For the first time, the U.S. has regulated greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles. The U.S. EPA's new standard is good for the environment and the consumer.

The new vehicle standards will conserve 1.8 billion barrels of oil and save consumers about $3000 in fuel costs for vehicles they purchase in 2016.

Nissan is retooling a facility in Tennessee to produce the Leaf. The company will put the U.S. in a great position to compete with other nations to manufacture cutting-edge vehicles.
